June 4th- Berlin, Germany

We slept in again, SHOCK. We were literally glacial getting ready this morning. Since we aren't doing culture and all that jazz, we didn't have too much ground to cover in Berlin. We finally got out the door and went to Berlin Chapel. It was beautiful on the outside. It was the first church we have been to that was Protestant, and how extravagant it was for a non-catholic masterpiece. There was a tower that we were able to climb up (367 stairs) and have a nice view of the city. We have had really good luck with these towers. I mean I haven't ever even seen a bird's eye view in the states. Now I know what every European city looks like from the ground up.  We also got to see the crypt. Not a huge fan, but maybe that is because my minimal (aka nonexistent) German led me the wrong way from the bathroom and had me trapped in there for a good 10 minutes. Talk about panic attack when you are surrounded by dead bodies. I had to catch my breath when I finally made it out.

We grabbed lunch at an "American" Restaurant so that Katelyn could finally get the hamburger she has been craving since we left the airport in New Jersey. I had asparagus soup- HOLY MOLY! It was the best thing that has ever graced my taste buds. Delicious! Katelyn and I sat in a coffee shop and enjoyed people watching with our hot chocolate while Cybil and Michele shopped around in nearby stores. Then following the lazy, boring suit for the day, I went back to the train station to blog. I had to catch up on a few days I am sure all you loyal followers noticed. Night train to Zurich! It was muchhhhh cleaner than the last night train and the views were absolutely magnificent.

My writing style changes with my mood. How strange I think. I noticed yesterday that my blog writing is very inconsistent. Obviously I realize that I only write when I can and that the rush doesn't allow me to proofread or even organize my thoughts. However, I can tell that day to day my banter varies with how I am feeling, be it exhausted, frustrated, excited, etc. Very interesting. If I am going to write a book, I feel like I need to choose a style that works best for the readers. Engaging, funny, light and sometimes serious? That feels right.

Shout out to Christian, Sarah, Olivia, EP and Regan. I saw this store today and I read Free Willy but upon closer look it said Frey Wille (read fray willaay). Janaay Torbayy misses you guys. Thinking of you all the way in Berlin.
